Herpes cold sores are common infections of herpes. They are acquired from direct skin-to-skin contact with the virus. Examples of this skin to skin contact are kissing and rubbing against the infected area.
Persons experiencing cold sores may not experience herpes outbreaks for the reason that immune system of other persons have the ability to completely suppress the virus.
These cold sores are usually confined particularly on and around the lip area. Or, if in the facial area, it is usually above the mouth, the nostrils, the nose, cheek or chin. There are no cold sores found inside the mouth. If ever, it is inside the mouth, it is most likely on the gums or roof of the mouth. It is not a cold sore if you have a sore particularly in the soft tissues of the mouth. Rather, it is considered as a canker sore. In case of recurrent cold sores, the common location are the places of where the previous outbreaks occur. Normally, symptoms show two to twelve days after the first exposure to the virus. Children seven years old are commonly infected with the "primary" cold sore outbreak.
The best way for sexually active individuals to fight against herpes infection is for them to have a regular std testing. STD test is very easy. All you need to do is to visit local STD testing labs or call the center for setting up an appointment the same day. Testing sites are conveniently located throughout the country and are staffed by caring and highly trained individuals. These people will perform the test as well as answer any questions you may have about your risk, possible diagnoses, or the testing process. Then, within three days, you will be able to get the results of your STD test. These results will be delivered by a counselor who can assist you in dealing with emotional and practical considerations if the test comes back positive.

No don't be so ignorant. Unless you plan on having sex with her then I wouldn't worry about it. You can't get herpes from sharing a toilet seat or anything like that. If that were the case, everyone would have herpes.

No, you won't get it in any of those ways. I'm pretty sure she is super careful about everything! But on side note, it's not sanitary to share a loofah with anyone! That's super nasty!
