The treatment of Syphilis involves giving Penicillin shots. Treatment for the first stage or the primary illness includes one shot at the time of diagnosis. If the diagnosis is a later stage of Syphilis it may include Penicillin shots weekly for three weeks. Those persons who should be tested for Syphilis include anyone who is having unprotected sex as well as those individuals who present with a genital ulcer and/or a rash anywhere on the body.
