What is that sexual disease where you get sores in your mouth?Is it hpv or something?... one of my friends had it and I made out with her when I got drunk two weeks ago... I have a big sore in my mouth and a red flat thing next to it... I really don't want to get this checked out because i'll be pretty embarrassed.

It's herpes simplex. But two weeks sounds kinda too soon for symptoms. It's usually about four weeks for the first symptoms of herpes simplex to show up. This is for life, if you're infected. But you could have gotten lucky and it is just a cold sore. I read on the internet that you should start two worry when the bump lasts for more than a week or it hurts. I don't remember everything I read but yeah. Though since you made out with someone who is infected I would reallllly suggest you get yourself tested regardless. Because it's very likely you have it and I would feel just terrible if I were you and my symptoms went away and I assumed everything was ok and I shared a drink and gave someone else the same virus. Don't be embarrassed you could say to the doctor you accidentally shared a drink if you want to avoid any bad assumptions. And I don't know exactly how they test for herpes simplex but when I went to get tested for mono they just pricked my finger. So if herpes simplex is anything like mono the would be an easy test..

P.S. HPV is not the disease itself but it's the category the virus herpes simplex falls into, I believe.

P.S.S. SORRY Fun fact! Also if you are infected with herpes simplex you are then immune to getting genital herpes (all or most types of genital herpes, ask your doctor). Cool right? My friend has it and he says that he's happy he got it because he has a lot of unprotected sex and he doesn't have to worry about genital herpes. Which genital herpes are muchhh worse. He says that the herpes simplex hardly flares up and when it does it's not a big deal and it doesn't bother him he says: "It's just bumps." It's just like getting cold sores more frequent is all.

Does the red flat thing look like a tongue ? if yes it could be to much tongue in cheek .
