Are the new polyisoprene condoms effective for STD prevention?

Are the new polyisoprene condoms effective for STD prevention?I've been reading recent ads about new polyisoprene condoms, such as "Lifestyles SKYN" and "Durex Avanti Bare". While the websites give lots of info on how pleasurable they supposedly are, I can't seem to find any information on them regarding thier effectivness in protecting against STDs verses latex condoms. Does anyone know if they are comparable to latex for STD prevention, or are they strictly meant for pregnancy prevention (like lambskin ones)?

Thanks for your help!

Only problem with this type of condoms, are they are thinner and somewhat weaker. They may break with rough sex, at any length. There are two problems this now poses. The risk of contracting whatever he/she might have, and releasing his seed during copulations. I suggest going with a standard condom and playing it safe!
