Not to be mean but i suggest you do a little reading on your sex ed. No you will not get an STD or AIDS by kissing someone.
You should have let him kiss you. You're not going to get aids from saliva... at least there is no known case of it being transferred that way. It is carried in blood and bodily fluids, but saliva does not contain the virus. Yes, being careful is a good thing, but in my opinion you're taking to a little extreme... relax...
If you plan on having sex, then go get tested.

I would say that It really shouldn't be that big of a deal, but since u said he is a party animal, that could be an issue..
I don't think that it would hurt to like peck him on the lips..and then when u guys have been together longer you should ask him if he's been tested. cuz it would be kinda weird if u asked him about that and you've only been out once.

Penicillin was a relatively new drug at the time. The tests were carried out on female commercial sex workers, prisoners in the national penitentiary, patients in the national mental hospital and soldiers. According to the study, more than 1600 people were infected: 696 with syphilis, 772 with gonorrhea and 142 with chancres. A similar study was conducted between 1932 and 1972 in Tuskegee, Alabama, on nearly 400 poor African-American men with syphilis whose disease was allowed to progress without treatment.
