Can a person get an sti or other genital infections without intercoarse with another person?

Can a person get an sti or other genital infections without intercoarse with another person?I have already sort of investigated this topic but everyone says that you cannot get an sti without intercoarse, but i have never had any sort of intercoarse with my penis but it seems like something could be wrong with it. Could I have an STI? or what could it be?

It's possible to get some STI's from your parents, like HIV, if they had it when they were reproducing.

Yes, even without the pleasure of sex. Via blood transfusions, inappropriate touching in jewels/vagina/rectum, bodily fluids left on toilet seats if still wet/gooey or via birth/breast feeding. Where there's a will, there's a way! ... and pathogens know how! :O(

Yes, you can catch genital herpes via oral sex from someone who is prone to cold sores. I caught it that way.

I don't see why you can't get it if you forgot to wash you hands before you whack yourself really hard that you're stretching your skin up.
