Gonorrhea treatment side effects...?

Gonorrhea treatment side effects...?I was recently diagnosed with gonorrhea. Apparently I have had it for quite a while, but I never had any symptoms. I was given a one time dose of antibiotics at the doc's office. This was four days ago. But now I'm having joint pain, pain in my testicles, frequent urination, burning when i urinate, and occassional dripping from my penis.

I never had these symptoms until after I was giving the antibiotics....

Is this normal? Do people have these symptoms while on treatment? I find it a little weird since I didn't have any of these symptoms before I was treated.

I think the problems you have now is the natural progression of the disease rather than any side effect of the treatment. Sometimes the infection is resistant to some drugs. So if the initial treatment is not effective then a different tablet or injection has to be given. It is better to get treatment for Non gonococcal Urethritis (or Chlamydia) along with the treatment for Gonorrhea. Go back to your doctor or to a good dermatologist or whoever is a specialist in treating STI's in your area. Treat early for completer cure and to avoid complications later.
