How do you prevent urine infection after sexual contact?I always get a urine infection after sexual contact. My doctor has taught me ways to prevent an infection but it never seems to work. Does anyone know any ways to prevent urine infections?

After sex, I take a shower, and wash my, uh, area. Then I pee. Then I wash the area again. This has prevented me from having one in almost a year (fingers crossed). Before I started doing this religiously, I used to get them a lot.

Always urinate right after sex, and take a shower soon, and wash everything really well. Tell your partner to do this also.

make sure you go to the bathroom. sit there for a few minutes, if you don';t want to take a shower take a warm wash cloth and wipe off real good with just water....no soap...being that you're not takin a shower...you don't want any soap left...good luck...
