Is there any data that suggests that sales of a company increased because of those sexually attractive females promoting their products?

To make you want to be the person in the ad if you're a woman (if you have the item being advertised you will look or feel like the person in the ad), or if you're a man, have the person in the ad subconsciously.

That's only one "trick" they use to sell us crap that's bad for us, that doesn't work and we don't need! They have no problems using cute little kids either!
Of course sales increase because as a general rule, people will believe anything and can be dumb as a rock. They're also to lazy to look things up or do some research. They (the advertisers & marketers) know this and take full advantage of it.
I can watch TV on any given channel on any given day and hear a multitude of lies because they hire lawyers and sit in their meetings and figure just how to stay just right within the law. Morals are unknown to these people. $ $ $ are the only thing that counts.

Let me point out some research when I was in Grad school. It was found that Japanese travelers, mostly male, listened more carefully to female voices announcing information about flights than males voices announcing information on flights based on the fact that fewer flights were missed or problems reported when there was a female announcer than when there was a male announcer. Even if men keep their ding-a-ling in the proper place and do not have fantasies about the women, men listen more when a woman is presenting information than a man (Steve Jobs being an exception). As the old adage goes, sex sells, and as long as men are the predominant buyers in business, females will be used. The fantasy created about the product sells more products than facts because it reaches people at an emotional level. The same is true in romance, but that is another chapter.
