Can a Chlamydia infection be treated after 5 hours of exposure?

Can a Chlamydia infection be treated after 5 hours of exposure?i had unprotected sexx with someone who had chlamydia. can i take AZITHROMYCIN 5 hours after the sexual act and it be cured from my system? or do i have to wait a while to see if i actually contract the infection to take the pills?

How did you get the azithromycin so quickly anyway? I would go to your OB and get checked, ask them. How...??? Did you know they had it and just said f*** it, I can take a pill to get rid of it??? Wow, that's crazy.

I would see my doctor first before medicating with anything. Then he'll test you when he thinks your ready. This is a poster child for unprotected sex, if the guy your seeing can't carry condoms, then you get them for the next guy the next time before you get into some really bad thing that you will pay for the rest of your life like AIDS.

That was a bold risk to do that with an infected person. Gonorrhea often coexist with chlamydia and doctors more than often treat you for both if diagnosed with one.

Also, there is a couple days incubation stage which is before bacteria produce symptoms. I don't think antibiotics works during this stage. Seems you'll have to make a visit.

That's a medicine that's usually prescribed. First off you DON'T know if you have a STD yet, just because you slept with someone(good job on not using a condom lol!) doesn't mean you automatically have it, chances are slim thou of not having anything. Go to a hospital, doctor, etc to get tested and if you have anything they'll give you meds for it. Sometimes STD's don't show up that fast.

Next time have COMMON sense and use a condom, not that hard. Oh, and get tested for HIV also and pray that you don't have it. It only takes one time having unprotected sex to get it.
