Can HIV or AIDS be transmitted by the puppy?

Can HIV or AIDS be transmitted by the puppy? We have a 5 month old pup who still likes to teeth on people. If the puppy nips and draws a drop of blood from someone with HIV or AIDS, can the pup catch those viruses, then, transmit them by nipping to the rest of us?

No it can't be transmitted from people to dogs. They have different immune systems so it's not possible.

That is a very interesting question!. AIDS and HIV have been talked about for years, but they've never mentioned if it can be transfered to an animal (via dog bite, etc). This is something that really should be an interest to Doctors and Scientists.
VERY GOOD QUESTION INDEED!

No.

HIV will not cross between humans and dogs - or other pets.

Even though this sounds like an accident it I not good to bite someone with HIV or lick an open wound.
