Going to the doctor about a sexually transmitted infection?

Going to the doctor about a sexually transmitted infection?Im nearly 100% sure I have contracted genital warts and I am going to the doctors tomorrow! I don't know what to say to the doctor, how should I start it off? Im only 17 so can the doctor ring my parents about this?

You should not be embarassed about whats going on. Just tell the doctor you are sexually active and suspect you have a STD. Tell him what symptoms you have. You will also need to get tested for other STDs, alot of times you may have somthing else and just not know it yet. The funny or sad thing is, people are now more likely to have a STD "package", they dont just carry one. I know alot of people who have herpes and genital warts. Or hepatitis and herpes. Or even worse, HIV and somthing else.
Don't be afraid of your parents, even if they do get called. You would be suprised how many "grown ups" have STDs. And even if they don't, they still love you no matter what.

Just go to the doctor and that's all! :)
say that you want to do all STD tests and of course ask doctor to check out for genital warts!
I think doctor definitely wouldn't call your parents! :)

Good luck!
