GONORRHEA???????????Ok, I read online somewhere about having more of a chance of getting HIV when you have Gonorrhea? I thought you had to have sex with someone who had HIV in order to get it???

Yes you have to come in contact with the virus to catch it.

What that stuff means is if you have a present infection going on in your body (i.e. herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, etc) then it is easier for HIV to infect you because your body is already out of whack from the other infections. However, you have still have to get exposed to HIV from an infected person. Most people don't know that the transmission rate for HIV is actually low. So you can have sex with an infected person and not get the virus. You may have to have sex with that person several times. However, if you got an infection like gonorrhea going on, then its easier to get HIV...so like having sex with that person only two times and you get it.
