She probably has a urinary tract infection & can go to her Dr's office & give a urine sample to check. She may need antibiotics. Also have her try cranberry juice & AZO from Wal-Mart.

If you will go to the vitamin section and get some L-Lysine and take it for a few days, or when you break out, in time it will stop coming back..good for any viruses and colds....works everytime

if your friend knows for sure that she has herpes, it is possible she has even one bump and it could (and does) burn while urinating.
best thing is to check that it is not a UTI first.
and double check for visible signs.

Yes you can have herpes and not have an outbreak, herpes is a virus that lives in your body forever. It activates with certain foods, stress levels, colds, flus, etc and it can deactivate and retreat to its base when not causing blisters or prodromal symptoms. If you do a google or yahoo search, you get pictures of genital herpes, and those cases are about as bad as it can get. Very few people have it that bad, and many but not the majority have very few outbreaks or lesions, maybe just a few xollections of microscopic bumps from time to time. So the sysmptoms can range from undetectable to very disgusting, but the majority of those infected most often range in medium outbreaks every few months, othrs have no outbreaks. The virus can pretty much be spread at any time, even when not on medication, but it would have to be from bodily fluids coming from the infected area. So you cant get genital herpes by sharing a cup with someone who carries the hsv-2 virus, unless their original point of infection had been oral hsv-2 infection. The virus lays dormant in different locations of the body, dependent on what area it infected, not by viral type like hsv-1, hsv-2.
Almost forgot, if you want to help your friend, the best thing you can do is support her, and tell her to stay away fom the meds, they will only make her genital herpes worse. Believe me or not, alternative medicine all the way.
Looking for people in cali with hsv to take part in a research study.

she may have a bladder or urininary trackt infection. if u want to look up symptoms go to webmd.com or mayoclinic.com. i suppose they can be internal but usually herpes typically happens on the labia, anus and outside of the vagina as well as buttocks and thighs. u will usually see an outbreak if one happens. but u can have symptoms and not have a the blisters/sores. she should get to a doctor though and have whatever it is examined.
