hiv infection?this is my friend's qn. my friend is a hiv patient. his mother washed his water bottle which contained some blood scatters in the opening of the bottle. she continued to clean it with hands in water with no soap. she cleaned the bottle the following morning. my friend has finished drinking the water the previous day. can his mother carry the risk of infection?
swifft20005 she lives dangerously
Cadet Roshan No HIV spreads only through sexual intercourse or if blood is transfused through unsterlised needles in an injection
Jo Only if she had open lession / wound on her hand while she washed it..
Peaches Doubtful...it all depends on the amount of blood she came in contact with. If it was a small amount...it's highly doubtful that she was exposed to HIV.
