How common are STDs? How come they come with no signs?

How common are STDs? How come they come with no signs?Hey. I'm 18 and on January 23rd, a guy and I kissed, did mutual masturbation and gave each other oral. A day after that, I experienced something strange; I couldn't urinate even though I had the strongest urge to. Thankfully that went away. Still, I'm really scared he might have given me something. We have been intimate before but it was months ago.

How common are STDs? How come they come with no signs sometimes? Thanks.

One in four American teenage girls has an STD.

The signs/ symptoms are often things you would not know to look for until it is too late and the disease is already causing problems.

STDs are treatable so if you think you may have one, it is best to go ahead and get it treated by a doctor or nurse.

Many people still wait for the definite proof or the symptoms to confirm that they are really STD infected, far from their knowledge that symptoms do not appear immediately after their exposure in a certain infection. With regular STD Testing in your Local STD Testing Centers, you can keep track of your reproductive health. Preventive measures are also taught by concerned health specialist.

well some STDS come with no signs because they are susceptible to your body
meaning your body is A symptomatic to any of these bacterias therefore causing
no symptoms to even know you are infected..best thing get check regularly after
every sex partner for the better

HIV/AIDS continues to dramatically affect people all over the world despite preventive measures such as educational awareness and testing programs and treatment initiatives such as drug research and development. Even in the United States, where government funding, medical technology, and education would seemingly defeat this disease, the epidemic continues. According to the United States Center for Disease Control (CDC) over 1,000,000 people are living HIV/AIDS in this country and approximately 40,000 new cases are reported each year. Although high, this is a significant drop from the new annual cases reported during 1980's, which approached 150,000.

HIV/AIDS testing is a good idea for anyone who believes they have come into contact with a sexually transmitted disease. Even if there are no symptoms to warn a person of an infection living in their body, the possibility is there and STD tests can determine whether an STD is present or not. Getting tested is beneficial to protecting your health and the health of your sex partners.

1 in 3 people have a chance of getting an std before then reach 25. 1 in 4 in North America have genital herpes. Stds can hide in the body, some times it's the immune system that suppresses symptoms. The stronger the immune system the fewer symptoms you may experience.
Keep an eye out for cold sores. They are common to have, contagious and can be passed to the genitals when oral sex is given while there is an out break.
You could have just a urinary tract infection. If it happens again you may want to get tested and don't move so fast with your relationships. Try to get to know your partner before you jump into having sex.
