All that being said, Chlamydia is known as a "silent" infection as up to 75% of women and 50% or more men with the infection have no symptoms or the symptoms are so mild that they don't cause concern for the patient. Also, Chlamydia is one of the most common causes of PID (pelvic inflammatory disease). PID has no symptoms in up to 66% of women and is even less likely to cause symptoms if it's caused by Chlamydia (versus other causes).

you can have it your whole life without symptoms. it's called the silent STD for a reason. it kills your reproductive system without a sign.
