if you get cold sores do you have the STD herpes?i see some people saying its herpes but not std's herpes whats the difference?

Coldsores are medically a type of herpes but not the STD herpes. You only get STD herpes from sexual relations with somone who already has them. They can appear on your mouth from oral sex, not just genitals. They also look different.

Cold sores are herpes, its usually hsv 1 genital herpes is usually hsv 2, but if someone with hsv 1 has a cold sore on their lips and gives someone oral sex they can give them hsv 1 on their genitals. So herpes is herpes weather it's hsv 1 or 2 or on your lips or on your junk. About 80 percent of the population have some form of it now and most people don't even know they have it.
