women...chlamydia is known as the silent std, because there are very little symptoms of knowing that you have it. the only two known symptoms that it can bring is discharge and burning while urinating.about half the woman who are diagnosed with the std do not have any of these symptoms.they usually only find out when they go for thier first pap smear or get thier blood drawn.

since there is no inclination of an std for a woman to know she has it she can easily spread it to her sexual partners.whom they will not know they contracted the std.

so yes woman are the main carrier of chlamydia

Neither. Chlamydia shows no symptoms in up to 75% of females and 50% of males. There is no evidence that it is more common in either men or women.
Females are more likely to attend for screening than men so that may make it look like it is more common in women.
