Mostly all std's except for HIV are able to be detected within a day or two. If you suspect, then your doctor can give you a prophyllactic antibiotic to kill most std's that are curable immediately without a test result.Like for chlamydia ,syphillis, ghonnorhea. But as you know herpes and hiv well thats a different story.Hiv usually shows up within a month but rare occasions up to ten yrs.Very rare though.

STDs have different rates depending on the STD/ HIV has a 3 month window period. But I would suggest testing for HIV now and again in 90 days, for your peace of mind.

The window for HIV is considered to be 3 months, but that doesn't mean it will take that long for antibodies to be detected. Go get tested now if it will ease your mind, but go back for another test after 3 months. Make sure you go back. If you only want to test once, then wait the 3 months.
