What's a Good Website that will scare my teenage neice about sexually transmitted diseases. She Sleeps aroundWhat's a Good Website that will scare my teenage neice about sexually transmitted diseases. She has confided in her mother and also to me that she sleeps around a lot and has already had to be treated for Ghonorhea. She is only 17 years old and she says she is very popular now. Her mom works all the time and I try to help with her as much as possible. But my neice just does not get it. She says all her friends do it and none of them are dead yet. She also says her doctor warned her but told her just to use a condom in the future. She says She now uses condom only sometimes and that her new boyfriend told her he is disease free. Like young horny guys dont tell lies. PLEASE HELP. I fear for her health. If anyone knows a good website that shows graphic pictures and the consequences of having risky sex and sleeping with numeous partners please let me know. It would be greatly appreciated. I try not to preach to her since I know she is embarking on adulthood but I am concerned.

call the health department get pictures and reading matterial.. they should also have videos....... sit her down... tell her how it is.. the HD should also be able to get you intouch with someone that is close to her age that was doing the same thing she is and is now in an ill situation. good luck.

Realistically you can't "shock" people into submission. Though I do believe that your intentions are good. She already knows about the dangers and is still acting the way she is.

If getting an STD didn't work to "scare" her, a website or gruesome pictures won't either. In fact it will probably piss her off and cause her to rebel more.

Let her know you are there to support her.

certainly, i can give you plenty. Now, let me warn you that these images are graphic, and sometimes kids need graphics to get a point through their brains.

** in response to the answers above, there is no way to "support" that kind of behavior and reading and seeing what other people go through (people who were promiscuous at one point in their lives) is definitely enough to scare someone into rethinking their lifestyle.
I am 20 years old and in college and I have numerous friends who have contracted STDs through promiscuity or a boyfriend/girlfriend who straight out lied. One of them has HIV. I am sure someone with one of these diseases will look back on their mistakes and say "I wish someone would have told me..."

You're doing the right thing. THIS is supporting her.

go to google images and type in the name of an STD such as gonorrhea, herpes, syphilis and make sure the safe search is off and it should come up with some pretty graphic images

Don't only tell her about std's but also tell her about pregnancy and what it is like to raise a baby and how demanding it is. And it also sounds like her friends are part of the problem too.
