....Cervix??

....Cervix??Well, each time I had a pap there was always blood. They just told me it was because I was close to my period and that was all. Well I went to a different clinic (had the pap done well before period was due) and I noticed some blood on the swab. The practitioner was able to see my cervix and had a name for it. I guess maybe there was some type of damage? I asked her what would cause this and she said it was due to things like stress, prolonged use of b/cl and sex.
So fast forward to yesterday, I go to the ER because I was 6 weeks pregnant and had some spotting. They did a pelvic exam and this condition came up again. Said nothing to worry about and that was where the bleeding was coming from. I'm wondering if anyone else suffers from this and may know the proper term? I can't seem to get any information related to this. It's nothing to do with HPV or any sexually transmitted infections All my tests have always came back good.

Not all of us have our bits in exactly the same place. Some pap smears are difficult to do because the uterus is on a strange angle, which is a variation on normal and no problem.

But some nurses and doctors get a bit vigorous trying to catch the right cells for the smear. And it can cause a bit of capillary bleeding. Like grazing your knee.

Nothing to worry about. I think it's more to do with the technique of the staff concerned.
