I have group b...
I was given antibiotics during labor. If my memory serves me correctly, i do believe that's all i was treated with to protect my baby.

I was group B strep positive and they gave the antibiotics when I first went into the hospital. As long as you take the antibiotics the baby should be fine.

I had this and my doctor didn't do anything until I was in labor. They hooked me up to an IV and pumped a whole lot of antibiotics into me. My son is now 5 months old and as healthy as can be. So, my experience was relatively un-eventful.
Good Luck.

I'm also group b +..
no biggie, all that happens is once you go into labor you will have to have penecillin (or a substitute if you are allergic) every 4 hpours via IV until baby is born. It's just one additional bag on the IV "tower". They do LIKE to get at least 2 doses into you before baby but they can make do with one, and in a pinch it can be pumped into you in under 10 mins if they have to!
I think I had something like 5 bags of it!! And it is hooked up AS SOON AS THEY ADMIT YOU!!! It will be one of the first things they do once you get to stay!!
Good luck!!
Hello... it's me again
I didn't know I had it until I went in to be induced. They gave me antibiotics and that was it. I was fine and so was baby. Good luck and congrats!
