How can U understand beforehand whether someone(a girl) has sexually transmitted disease or not? 1 more questn?

How can U understand beforehand whether someone(a girl) has sexually transmitted disease or not? 1 more questn? Now its a general and important question which is controversial too.
1) Before having sex with someone (say a girl), how can u understand whether they have sexually transmitted diseases(STDs) or not? I mean obviously no one will say they have syphillis or AIDS or herpes or gonnhorhea or whatever.

2)And how is it that people say that having sex with too many people may get you STDs, i mean the only way you can get STDs is when your partner has it right?? wat if you have intercourse with 100 different ppl and no one has disease. So is it just that having sex with many ppl or only when they have STDs

3) By the way STDs are not cold that you can catch from the air, so how does anyone get them anyway? only if you had sex and the partner has it?

All the 3 questions are linked and almost have the same indications. I know everyone knows about it.. but then why do ppl get it then? if you know so much.. please explain

There is no definite way to ensure the person you are sleeping with is STD free, unless you are in a long term monogamous relationship. Trust is the key factor here. Having sex with multiple partners increases your risk to being exposed to an STD. You cannot contract an STD unless the person you are intimate with is infected with an STD. Every single person you sleep with has a potential of being infected, say one in every hundred people you sleep with has an STD. If you only have intercourse with one individual then your chances of contracting an STD is about 1% but say you sleep with 75 people then your chances of contracting an STD have just increased to about 75%.

People still get sexually transmitted diseases because they are either uneducated or just don't ever think it will happen to them. Also, many people are infected and may not realize it and just keep spreading it.

Think of it this way

Your state announces a 100 Million Lottery.
The winning ticket is only one, but you buy 500 lottery tickets. Why? To increase your chances of winng the ticket. If you only one ticket, then if that ticket is not the winning ticket you are out of luck. whereas if you bought 500 tickets, you still can still have a winning ticket in the rest of 499 tickets. It is called increasing your chance or technically speaking Probability theory.

So, you can not know for sure if a prostitute has HIV. But because she exposes herself to a lot people that may have HIV (she buys 500 lotto tickets) she has a better chance of getting infection than the girl who onlt has sex with one person (buys only one lotto ticket).

hope this helps.

1. It's hard to tell if some one has an std because they are invisible and they have good hiding places. You can try having a talk with your partner before having sex, if you trust them and they trust and care about you, then you might get an honest answer out of them. Ask them if they have had sex before or if they were tested for stds and what the results were. You can always ask your partner to get tested and you can get tested with them. You deserve to know a little bit about your partner's past sex life if you are going to have a serious relationship with them.
2. You don't always get an std from being promiscuous. All it takes is for one person in a relationship not to know that they have an std and pass it onto their partner. Some people just get lucky, or they have an std and don't know it because they never bothered to get tested.
3. You get an std from having oral sex or sexual intercourse with an infected partner. Stds are passed through body fluids and skin contact during oral sex or sexual intercourse with an infected person. Some people think that it will never happen to them because they are too good for an std or they just don't care if they end up getting one. Stds can happen to any one, they don't care who you are.
