Go door to door advertising a date for people to do said march. Talk to mayoral people for permission for a march and talk with them abou the event.

Absolutely! I agree with you. The idea that pops into mind at the moment is for you to make posters, throw in some statistics. Give 'em some hard-hitting facts!!!

Best of luck!

First of all, good for you! Teenagers seem to think they're invincible in regards to such matters, and as a result practice reckless behavior that puts them at risk for contracting STD's.

I don't know how effective a march would be; it wouldn't really involve a lot of people, and the only ones to participate would be the kids who already have vowed not to have unsafe sex. The other kids would probably stand on the side lines snickering at your efforts.

I'm totally against abstinence preaching, but if you aren't, I know that those programs are always looking for young adults to volunteer to go to high schools and talk.

Also, call your local high school(s) and tell them your situation. Present your material to them and ask if you can come in during perhaps a lunch period and pass out condoms along with factual flyers/pamphlets and provide your knowledge to anyone with questions.

Start a facebook group and invite all the teens you know. Present facts as well as resources they can hit up to gain free/price reduced contraceptives. (such as links to their closest planned parenthood)

Also, try writing namebrand condom companies, such as Trojan. Tell them your situation and ask if they would be able to assist you in getting condoms to lower class/economically poor teenagers for free. There is a good chance they will be more than willing to help.

Reach out to Planned Parenthood. Here's their website.

www.plannedparenthood.org

They have all the information you need to get a march started. If you can find a phone number on the website, give them a call and they'll give you all the support you need.
