I think i may have symptoms of an STI / STD, can anyone please help me identify the problem?

I think i may have symptoms of an STI / STD, can anyone please help me identify the problem?I recently had unprotected sex (yes, thats the main problem) and i am no (unfortunately and stupidly) suffering from some unwanted symptoms around my vaginal area. I noticed within probably 10 hours of the sex that the skin under my vagina - around the opening and out around the lips / lower lips and slightly towards my buttocks i had sore, red skin.
The skin started to feel thin and painful and dry peeling skin has been the result, also some tiny splits in the skin (which i have suffered from before although not sure if it is an STI / related to the peeling skin.

I am on a round of antibiotics for another problem, will this clear up my private areas problem? And does anyone know what this is and if it could be really serious. Thanks everyone

Before you go freaking out and thinking it's an STD, did you consider common problems like a yeast infection or jock itch?

Look up how long it takes each STD to start showing symptoms. I don't think any show within ten hours of sex, but I'm not entirely sure.

By the way, it really could be something else other than an STD/STI. I suggest you get tested however if symptoms persist.

You could also have irritation from the sex itself. If it was rough sex, then that's really a definite possibility. Try using some lubricant next time, but not anything Vaseline related because that can mess up condoms (which you should use next time!)
