Go snap some whippers, young man.

If God is love, why does he permit wickedness? And if God stopped their evildoing, they would protest their loss of freedom to do it!
We have been given free will.

After the fall of Adam and Eve God realized man had free will to do as he pleased. He allows humans to choose freely, however they must live by their choices and ultimately face the consequences of such choices.
He only interferes when absolutely necessary which in his eyes is not often as humans think it is. He lets us figure out our own issues.

Because we cannot love if we are not free to love. That's why marriage has to be contracted with full consent-- because if we don't have a choice in the matter, the love doesn't mean anything. God gives us free will in order that we might come to choose to love God fully. Unfortunately that love has to make room for the possibility that we will misuse our freedom and do violence to one another. But without it, our love of God would be meaningless. God wants us to be "but a little lower than the angels"-- God wants a real RELATIONSHIP with us, who are made in God's image. God doesn't just want a bunch of puppets who love because we were not given the capacity to do otherwise.
We screw up. But God provides us with abundant grace even in the midst of our own failings and our suffering at the hands of others. We are given complete freedom, but we are never alone or abandoned by God. Ultimately we'll all come to love God fully and be drawn to God for all eternity.

WILLFULLY. That's the key point. Millions on earth WILLFULLY practice it. God created us, but He doesn't force us to make certain decisions! He just watches and lets us make our own decisons. Don't force the wickedness of the world on Him, saying that it's HIS fault. It isn't His fault!! It is the human race's fault!
