Is brown discharge a sign of an STD or what?I haven't had my period for the month of october but two days ago i had brown discharge light and just spotting it's gotten relatively heavy today (day3) and it's darker. Is this my period or is it some kind of infection? I am sexually active with my fiancé and sorta trying to conceive. Any idea?

that could be that you have a yest infection and than most like a std you may want to go get that checked out asap....

from what i understand "brown" blood (or brown "dicharge") Is old blood.
i could be a pregnancy sign especially if you missed your last. or it could be the
start of your period.
Take a pregnancy test just incase.
If your period is due the test should be %99 accurate
but there is always that %1

Brown discharge is usually old or left over blood. If your period doesn't start soon, you may want to take a HPT. Because implantation bleeding is usually light pink or brown and last between 1-3 days...which means if it is implantation bleeding, you conceived. Best of luck on the results you want!

Brown discharge is most likely your period coming on. Brown is "old" blood. Most people get it right at the beginning of their period. However, at day 3, if you still havent had heavier "blood" bleeding, you may want to think about implantation bleeding. Why are you jumping to an STD? Silly. It could and probably is something much more wonderful that chlamydia.
