Is it theoretically possible for someone to heal from an STI/STD with their immune system alone?

Is it theoretically possible for someone to heal from an STI/STD with their immune system alone?I don't know, but this question has bugging me for a while now. I just want to know if it's possible at all, and what are the chances of that.

It is possible for some diseases but it might take so long that the disease could do a lot of damage to your reproductive tissues and other bodily systems before that happens. Also there is a greater chance you could spread the disease to others when you have had it for a long time. It is not a reasonable risk. Go to the doctor.

Most highly unlikely, but possible. Damage to your repro organs may happen and you might suffer over time. Antibiotics and Antivirals are made to boost your immune system to fight off infections and virals...hope that this has helped! :O)

yes. some vary rare amount of people are immune to herpes simplex. also there was a documentry of a nurse in africa that was found to be immune to the embola hemmoragic fever. if someone can be immune to that(which is alot worse than the worst std) then born immunity from std's are well possible.

It depends on the type STD.

Syphilis begins by showing an ulcer. This is primary syphilis. The ulcer fades secondary syphilis follows. That too heals and some folks may never again have symptoms. Unfortunately, the bacterium has a tendency to hide somewhere in the body and may cause deadly consequences decades later.

Gonorrhea tends to cause a urethral drip in males. Females may not notice their infection. Untreated, some may recover without consequences but the risk is very great that very serious problems will follow.

I am not aware that any others actually go away due to the immune system without any consequence. The immune system does not seem to manage STD's well at all, so I would not take that chance. Additionally, you must get your partner(s) treated.

Know your partner really well before having intimate relations or say good bye to them. Prevention is the only safe treatment.

When it comes to HPV most clear on their own. Unless its the kind that can cause cancer. For other viral STDs I know of people whos body fought off Herpes. So I would yes in somes cases its possible.
