any STD's can be passed on to the baby if it is delivered vaginally. that is why when anyone has a STD the obgyn's usually do a cesarian.

It depends on the STD.
In most cases of herpes, they'll recommend a C-section because the stress of labor can cause an oubreak. C-sections are also done in cases with genital warts.
Gonorrhea and chlamydia are usually treated with putting antibiotic eyedrops im a baby's eyes immediately after birth.
Children whose mothers have HIV can take antiviral medication immediately after birth to prevent infection.
Mothers-to-be are checked for syphillis if they go to an OB/GYN for prenatal care. Unborn babies can catch syphillis from an infected mother, in which case they are usually miscarried, stillborn or born with an advanced case of syphillis.
I'm not sure about hepititis, but it may be possible to spread it to an unborn baby.
