what could be a topic of world events, thats appropriate to 8-10 year olds.?I wanna use aids, but i think sexually transmitted disease is to much for that age.

Any. No matter how young children are, you can't keep them ignorant and naive. They have to know what's going on around them.

you could talk abotu AIDS as a disease....you could focus on the orphans of AIDS in africa.... you don't have to tell them how you get it. they aren't old enough for that, but they are old enough to understand diseases and such. i think they need to know about it in a way they can accept. you could also focus on research to cure it and find medicines for it.
