No- there is no danger of transmission of an STD this way. You could die of embarrassment since it seems you are just now allowed in,lol, but germs are not a problem any more than a regular door knob, item in a shop, etc.
BTW, since you admit to being a germaphobe, I'll hope to get through to you that you get infected from time to time with all sorts of germs... and it is a GOOD thing. Most of the time you will never know it because your immune system takes care of your body for you.Occasionally you get sick and then your immune system takes care of it. Avoiding all germs all the time (or as much as possible) is a product of anxiety produced in part by companies selling anti-germ products. In fact your body needs to encounter and deal with germs from time to time so your immune system keeps "tuned up" and ready to tackle other bacteria and viruses.

no you cannot get most diseases through public things like doorknobs. however hep a can linger around on food and infect people. Hep B is a more danger as it can stay contagious for weeks even after blood has dried. but stuff like you are describing ...no.
