aids itself is a condition caused by HIV (hunanimunadificiencyvirus)
so no and yes
HIV can be transmitted by a mosquito and then later in the victims live they may develop aids
Erin
You would think so, but the answer is no. Mosquitoes and other insects can't and don't transmit HIV from one person to another, for a few reasons. Most importantly, mosquitoes inject their saliva in a victim, not blood. They only suck blood. Also, in addition to the fact that the amount of blood a mosquito gets from each victim is minute, HIV is a virus that can't survive very long outside the human body and is digested/dies not long after entering the mosquito. Diseases like malaria ARE spread by mosquitoes because they are able to reproduce inside the mosquito and be passed through the saliva that they inject, neither of which HIV can do. So no, HIV can be spread through unprotected sex, from mother to child, from sharing needles, and through blood transfusions (though very rare nowadays) but not mosquitoes.

Yes! If a mosquito that is infected with HIV has unprotected sex with another mosquito then there is a good chance that both mosquitoes will end up with HIV. Consequently, if you join in and have unprotected sex with those mosquitoes then you too can be infected. If more people are willing to join in an make the gathering into a full blown orgy and don't use protection.....
So, this is the perfect justification to tell your family and friends if you are diagnosed with HIV - The mosquitoes gave it to me while we had unprotected sex!
