can a hospital not hire you if you have a sexually transmitted disease?im thinking on going to college to become a nurse but obviously am not sure that id be hired once i graduated,(its genital herpes).

No worries! everyone in this world is affected by various diseases, Doctors as well! In fact doctors are some of the grimiest people in the world, If someone is sick where do they go? Doctors get MRSA more than any other demographic.


So worry more about the entrance exams!

They wont test you for herpes when they hire you. My bf works in the lab at a hospital and he has a very bad case of general herpes with outbreaks at least twice a month. I would just keep quiet about it.

They shouldn't hire you. You may spread your germs to other sick people. And by the way you are tested before entering the nursing program.
