Can you get Facial Herpes from a towel or pillow?Like say someone uses your towel and the next day you use that towel? Or someone lays on your pillow and there herpes comes into contact with it? Keep in mind I'm talking about acquiring facial herpes whether from another Facial Herpes (type 1) or from Genital (type 2).

No you're not likely to get facial herpes from towels or a pillow. Herpes doesn't last for more then seconds when it's away from the body, it also doesn't last for more then seconds on objects.
Herpes usually likes skin to skin contact like kissing to be passed on. Facial herpes if it's on the mouth is commonly passed on when relatives or friends who have herpes kiss children and they don't know any better that cold sores are contagious.
HSV1 can be transferred to the genitals but it doesn't cause or turn into genital herpes (HSV2). HSV1 and HSV2 come from the same herpes virus they are slightly different strains of it. HSV1 can be passed to the genitals and HSV2 can be passed to the mouth, the later isn't common but it can happen.
