all the websites i've found are too general and don't give the right statistics. Most of them just said "AIDS." But that can't be it for all of them, can it?

This doesn't has the specifics you're asking for, but it has some statistics.

Yes, sadly, it can. The children inherit it from their parents. If you wanted to try and find a distinction, the only two groups you would need to look at is "children" and "adults." The other difference you could look at would be mortality rates among different groups.
Not /everyone/ has AIDS, though. Last I heard, the estimate is currently running at 40-60% of the working population, depending on who you ask.
The high-risk populations are actually prostitutes, male homosexuals, drug users who inject, and prisoners. Africa has a history of high prostitution rates (they have to put bread on the table somehow) and thus the current campaign to introduce protect sex.

I am a non-black from Africa (specifically, South Africa) and I'd just like to point out that not EVERYONE there has Aids. It is most prevalent in adults and that is why there are many grandparents taking care of their grandchildren. Young adults from about 18-34 have the highest infection rate. It is most prevalent amongst the black people, but then again, Aids has no colour, and people from all walks of life can get it. In fact, here in the United States the Aids infection rate is on an increase among black and hispanic women.
