What are the most serious sexually transmitted diseases?I need to write a paper that "explores two of the most serious sexually transmitted infections, including treatments and up-to-date figures and statistics."

I would say HIV and Hepatitis B, both have no cure

I would go with HIV and Hepatitis C. Hepatitis B can be vaccinated for, and will not necessary be fatal, or even chronic (but most likely). Both HIV and Hep C are death sentences without treatment, and the treatment for Hep C is less effective and more miserable than even that of HIV.
