An infectious disease is caused by bacteria, viruses, etc.
A chronic disease is anything that lasts for a long time. You could have a chronic infection, which would be a germ that lasts for a long time.

Infectious diseases are caused by germs, microbes, viruses, etc, and can be passed from one person to the other.

Chronic diseases are the ones that are incurable like diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, etc.

Infectious means it can be treated and will go away....Chronic means you will probaly have it forever, but can be treated

Infectious diseases are easily spread.
Chronic diseases are long-lasting.

A disease maybe infectious but not chronic and vice-versa.
