The answer really has to do with the question of sovereignty.
In essence, the challenge of sovereignty was initiated when Adam and Eve rejected God's ruler ship, and said they could rule themselves without God's intervention.
God, rather than wipe them out, has allowed all time since then, to allow all mankind the opportunity to try every form of self rule so as to see, beyond all reasonable doubt, whether or not the challenge was valid.
Once the time of trying all forms of self rule is up, God has graciously provide the means for those who have faith built on the solid rock of truth, to receive, the gift of everlasting life of which the first human pair rejected.
Until we understand this simple truth, the fact that we all die because of our human ancestors Adam and eve, seems to be totally unfair. Yet once we understand this truth, the equity and fairness of God's love and fairness become plain and obvious.
