Can the Common Cold be transmitted sexually?

Can the Common Cold be transmitted sexually?Dumb question?? If one partner has a cold...or the beginings of a cold and you have vaginal intercourse (lets say no kissing) can you give your partner the cold?

If you are that close chances are you'll get a cold but it is not considered a STD.

The respiratory secretions are the method of transmission. If you have sex without kissing or breathing hard, I'd say the cold is not your biggest problem.

A cold can't be spread through the vagina, if that's what you're asking. The cold virus needs to enter the lungs to cause infection.

You don't have to kiss to spread the cold. Being close enough for sex means you're close enough to breath in their exhalations. Even if they don't cough on you, the molecules from their breath can travel several feet, and that is what can get you infected.

if there is heavy breathing involved, i could see it happening. As to whether or not it is transmitted via semen or vaginal fluids, i hope not ;)
