Can you get a herpe or cold sore from lipstick?Ok Friday night i was at the MAC makeup counter..and the girl insisted on putting lipstick and liner on me..I look in the mirror at about 4pm and I have three small dots..a herpe or cold sore at the corner of my mouth...yikes!
K thanks...and yeah they used a brush but still it was a used lipstick..they just dabbed a brush on it.

usually at those make up stands they use a brush or something they don't use on somebody else when they put it on your lips. but i guess if they used the lipstick on somebody with a cold sore then yeah you can get it.

it depends on what the manufacturer used to make the lipstick.

Maybe you were allergic to one of the ingredients.

I'm no dr phil, but I'm pretty sure that's the case
