Do they test for genital herpes in std tests?

Do they test for genital herpes in std tests?I recently had a std (sti) test at my college. I am wondering if this test includes a test for genital herpes?

My first STD testing included it, but in some cases you might have to ask for it as an additional test. You could always go to a nearby clinic or your doctor and ask for a test, if it didn't include it. Try and call and see if it did.

Go to your doctor, get checked and confirm if you have herpes. Have safe sex use protection.

Not usually. It is not included on a standard screen, and is often a special-request test. I seriously doubt that a college screen would include it - it is a special blood test. You need to ask.
