I have and STD and just met a nice girl. Should I tell her?I'm 28 and she's 22. She is a very good friend of my cousin. We went on a couple dates and we have good chemistry. We've been seeing each other for the past 5 weeks. I've been sleeping over her apartment meeting her friends...blah blah blah. I want to have sex with her but I have this lingering sexually transmitted infection that has seemed to have failed to be cured by treatment. So I have to see a specialist on July 24. So I've been dodging her advances at night and trying to stay away but still seem interested. I'm embarassed over this and its to the point now if I don't make a move on her she's going to think I'm not interested in her. I really like her but I'm afraid I'm going to scare her off if I tell her. My options are to have protective sex with her or just tell her how it is. I do not want to put her at risk. But once I tell her I think she's going to look at me differently.

I dont sleep around and was in a monogamous relationship for 7 years before her. I slipped up and had unprotective sex with a hippy and now I'm paying the price. Please any advice will help. whether immature or respectful I take all criticism.

What kind of question is that? Seriously your obligated to tell her that you contracted an STD. If she were to contract anything by having sexual intercourse with you and you failed to share that with her, she can sue you BIG TIME. I belive by law your obligated to tell someone you have an STD. And that girl has every right to know you contracted something. Hopefully she's smart and have you both tested.
