no. its not really a cure, they just give everybody a safe, but dead/weakened form of the virus. Because its safe, then everyone gets the vaccination and they develop antibodies to fight the virus if they ever get it.
but they have not developed a vaccination for HIV yet.

The polio vaccine actually caused more cases of polio than the disease itself. Salk, the inventor of the vaccine, made that statement.
If you look at the statistics regarding polio and other disease that vaccines were invented, you will see that the disease, polio was on it's way out long before the vaccine was produced. In fact, 95% of all the people that had polio didn't even know they had it because polio is a very mild disease, generally. Only about 1% of the people that got polio had any serious complications and that was due to those people having very weak immune systems. Most people that got polio felt they had a bad cold. The vaccine had very little to do with the irradication of polio. The disease died out due to the "natural immunity" from all the people that got the disease like most diseases have done through the centuries.
Vaccinations are NOT a good solution to giving people immunity to disease, contrary to the ENDOCTRINATION that the public has been subjected to by very greedy, and unscrupulous drug companies that are promoting the garbage. If you look at the statistics and the science behind vaccinations, in an educated way and not out of fear and intimidation the drug companies have used to promote this insanity, you will see the truth about what it's all about; PROFIT, not health at all.
It's easy to assume that when someone is presenting a cure or solution to disease that they must be very sincere and genuinely concerned for your health, but this has been shown time and again NOT to be the case with drug companies.
Viruses mutate and allopathic medicine cannot deal with that kind of germ using typical medical solutions. Healthy people deal with viruses very well. It is the unhealthy people that fall prey to viruses and end up in very bad predicaments.
The interesting thing is that it was the polio vaccine that was made by the MERCK company that actually caused AIDS. When they made the new vaccine for polio, they killed over 50,000 monkeys to make the serum. In the monkey blood was a virus that they did not see or filter with their filters and it got through to the vaccines. If you will notice, AIDS caught on very rapidly in 3 primary areas of the world, Africa, New York, and San Francisco. The vaccine was given to high risk men (primarily homosexuals) and also look at how quickly large numbers of men got the disease. This was not some freak accident caused by a monkey or two. There's no way this disease, given the way it is transmitted, happened in a small way and grew.
Why did the U.S. give South Africa 15 billion dollars for AIDS and ask yourself, "where did all that money go?" Did it curb the progress of AIDS? No. So why would our government give so much money to a research project like AIDS when there are several other disease that are equal to or greater in impact to the world than AIDS?
Yes, the pharmaceutical companies are corrupt and there are many examples of drugs they are currently promoting that are not only not working well, but promoting dangerous illnesses.

If you think that drug companies are our friends and interested in our health and the FDA is a good organization that is truly focused on helping Americans, you need to free yourself from the lies you believe.
Think about this: Last year 10,000 to 20,000 max. people died from taking illegal street drugs. But, last year, 106,000 people died in hospitals in the U.S. from taking legally made, FDA approved, doctor prescribed drugs that were designed for the illness the people had. Does that sound like our WAR ON DRUGS is aimed at the right people? We lost about 1,000 soldiers in Iraq last year with a hostile enemy trying to purposely kill them. Over 106 times the number of inocent patients DIED from legal FDA approved drugs! It's safer to be a soldier in Iraq than a patient in a U.S. hospital.

Well, first of all don't worry scientist are working 24/7 to Develop a vaccine for HIV. Maybe you are right about governments sometimes because they just prefer to spend more money on wars than science. Especially in the last 8 years when Bush take control of the whole world.
Anyway, Vaccine is something that should activate our immune system against specific foreign body. Usually, this is achieved by introducing a weakened or killed form of an infectious agent or, a deactivated form.
Actually all what we know about HIV is not enough yet to develop the vaccine. All the trials with vaccine have just failed. The problem is that the virus doesn't follow the same usual rules like other agents . All what we know is that HIV will infect the immune system itself and exactly it will infect the T cells which control the immune system.
