If thrush is transmitted through milk then why is it ok to give baby the milk?

If thrush is transmitted through milk then why is it ok to give baby the milk?I exclusively pump and I got thrush and so did my son. Other mothers who have had thrush were told to pump and feed their children their milk as usual while treating the thrush. But since we don't breastfeed, he got it through the milk, so shouldn't I give him the milk that I froze from before I got thrush?

I'm not sure if it is transmitted in the milk but I wouldn't give it to him. Get both of you treated and only give him fresh milk.

no you can still give it to him but you BOTH need to be treated. your niipple still has thrush and since your milk is coming out of it, th milk comes in contact. eeven bottle feed babies can get thrush though, ones who don't get breastmilk

You can't give him your old milk - once you start the treatment you should only feed him freshly expressed stuff. Make sure both you and your baby get treated.
There's a lot more to thrush than that though, especially in your special situation. Refer to kellymom.com for more info, and call your local LLL leader. IT's free and they are very knowleadgeble about these things.
