It is likely that a person who was sexually abused will become sexually active. This is because the child does not know that what happened is wrong. They think that it is normal and therefore becomes a learned behavior. It is possible that person may end up sexually abusing someone else, but that is not always the case. Often times those who have a drug addiction or become prostitutes were abused sexually as a child. When one is abused, there brain shuts down and it is hard for that person to develop intimate relationships and have trust issues, because it is likely that they will be exposed to the abuse again and so the cycle continues.

Yes....a couple of my friends have been sexually abused and they become very needy of the opposite sex....i dont really understand why this is but I personally think its because they feel as though the only way to get the attention of him/her is to be sexually attractive and therefore they become very promiscuos
