if you guys do get these this is oral herpes. if either one of you have a cold sore/fever blister present and give each other oral sex there is a high possibility you will get genital herpes. thats how i got it.
also some stds are curable. others like herpes is not. do some research on the internet to learn more about them and how to be more cautious.

Um, you'd be pretty unlucky if you got an STD from mutual masturbation. Besides, if you're that worried that your boyfriend has an STD, perhaps you should get him to get tested/ask him. A lot of them can be cured, then there'd be no worry of you getting anything. People don't just HAVE STDs & you don't automatically get them as a result of participating in sexual activity. Perhaps if you don't know enough to answer this yourself, you should stick to hugging and kissing. LOL.
