Ok I just found out that someone I know has PID.Should I tell anyone about what I know ?PID , is a hard to kill . Pelvic inflammatory disease are caused by the same bacteria that lead to sexually transmitted diseases .

If YOUR the one who has it, than you should tell any sexual partners you have. However, if this a friend or someone you know, you have no business telling anyone about it.

PID is just a term meaning you have generalized pelvic inflammation. In some cases it is due to an infection, sometimes one that has been sexually transmitted. But in that case, somebody gave it to her to begin with, and she had no way to know. As far as telling what you know, you basically know nothing and it's not your place to tell anyone either. A person's medical information is their own business, and it's not for you to play town crier. Besides, you do not know as much as you think you know, and opening your mouth could irreparably damage somebody's good name. When deciding to speak, you need to consider three things. Do you actually know what you are talking about? Is it honest and true? And finally, is it necessary to tell? In this case, you do not know what you say is true. It may not be honest. And it is not necessary to tell. So I suggest you keep what you think you know to yourself.

PID doesn't mean they have any sort of STD. It could mean they once had one which caused this problem but the STD was cured and they were left with this long lasting thing. PID can also happen from a regular infection, some people just have it. It doesn't mean they are infected in anyway with anything. I know a lot of women who have this due to previous infections, they are no longer infected with any transmittable virus but they do have PID. You shouldn't tell anyone because this is not your place to spread that sort of thing around. They probably don't want this to be broadcast around and it is mean if you do so.
