How come when a woman conceives she doesnt get an STD or STI along with it?

How come when a woman conceives she doesnt get an STD or STI along with it?When you conceive a child its from from unprotected sex yes? The body fluids mix? So how come you rarely get women that are pregnant AND have an STI/STD but women who have an STD/STI and are not pregnant? sorry if this is a stupid question... :) x

That is probably because most women who get pregnant choose to do so by men who do not have diseases.

You know, I was thinking the same thing, and I have asked questions in the passed on this! Becuase if a man and woman are wanting to make a child, they obviosly are not going to use protection becuase they want egg and sperm to meet. So wouldn't you think that would give them STI's!!!!!??? I guess the answer is, if they are married and are a proper couple they have only had sex with each other, apart from if they had it when they were younger with other people, then met each other got married.....etc. Also they probabily get checked out before having sex!
