Yes unfortunetly. The longer it takes to dry out, the more bursts it will have. Put some ointment on it, such as, abreva or get something prescribed and it will dry out much faster. I always would pick the dark colored scab off because I thought it was less noticeable that way. I learned the hard way that that just makes them last even longer.

If there are multiple blisters then yes. Single blisters usually break once then scab over and heal, but herpes can affect every one that has it differetnly. You could have a back to back out breaks or it may not be herpes. If you haven't been diagnosed yet then you may want to get tested and think about taking antiviral medication or suppressants to help prevent the out breaks from coming back.
